South Central is one of the most underrated films in cinema. I love that BET shows it love by continuously airing it. But it deserves more recognition.
'Boyz N The Hood' and 'Menace II Society' were great movies in the same genre. But they were more like documentaries, whereas South Central has more of a plot, and a happy ending-- one that isn't impossible to achieve in real life.

I agree with you that South Central is underrated. I personally prefer Boyz N The Hood to it but, it is nice that BET shows it, even if the blotting out of the cursing is annoying. I have the movie at home(thought I brought it with me), so I'll get a chance to view it more when I head home.

shareis that they cut out scenes for time I didn't know until I bought the dvd, but they cut out the scene where we find ut why Loco is in jail, and probably one of the most important scenes of the movie when Ali lectures Bobby on his attitude.
share...the sensored versions of films on television are never as complete as the uncut versions. It kills the film and you don't get the full experience. I guess it'll always be like that. The nation is too politically correct to allow certain things to pass through the screen..

I never saw it on bet,does'nt make sense for that scene to be cut,it's clean. problably the cleanest scene of the movie.
