Why oh why do the people at Sky tv when showing this film show the old version and tell the viewers at the end Alison is alive and continuing to fight her ailment where she lives when there is a revised version that tell us us this young hero's fate. Alison died on the 8th August 1992 from complications caused by her illness

The dvd says she continues to live in New York city at the end but if you google search her online, you will see the people magazines about her such as the article published in August 1992 after her death.
So what's the answer to the OP's question? Why hasn't idiot Sky TV caught up with google?
