mediocre movie

I saw this movie when it was released in 92 and thought that it was the wierdest movie of all time. The incest part was discusting and unnecssary, the story and concept of it felt like it was put together in under a couple of hours, and the dialogue was corny (especially the scene in the cemetary where Charles is spouting off one-liners as he tries to subdue Tanya for "lunch"). Some parts of it were laughable like were Mary shoots her gun while holding Tanya and she manages to blow up two cars and incinerates a man in flames with just TWO bullets. In spite of how mediocre the movie is two things about the movie stick out that make it memorable to me.

- The entire soundtrack to the movie and especially that haunting song by Enya and that song that was supposedly Charles's favorate song played throughout the movie (if someone can tell me anything about that song I would appreciate it very much)was outstanding.

- Though Brian Krause and Alice Krige were OK in the film and did what they could given the material that was there, it was far and away MADCHEN AMICK who stole the show for me. She was charming, seductive, and awfully damn CUTE in this movie. I'd say much more about her performance in this movie, but time has run out for me here so i'll be signing off for now!!!

Yeah, wow.

I mean the cast and the story aren't bad but the execution was horrible.

I think most movies made nowadays are mediocre because most modern actors/actresses can't act, and they use too much cgi effects. I mean, come on? Those effects are supposed to be better? They don't even look real.
