Los Angeles Locations

I love movies that take place in the great city of Los Angeles and show this city to advantage. "Sketch Artist" really showed some little shown L.A. locations and some that were vaguely familiar from "To Live and Die in L.A.". Just loved it!

Hello, Filmbuff1974: This film does showcase the glamour and sleaze of Los Angeles quite well. "To Live and Die in L.A." is an excellent frame of reference. It also reminded me of noirish L.A. films like Sidney Lumet's "The Morning After" and Hal Ashby's "8 Million Ways to Die."

I can't say I loved this film, but the locations made it worthwhile.

Have to look for Sidney Lumet's "The Morning After". If I'm lucky someone might have uploaded it to YouTube.

Thanks for the tip, Warpedrecord! :-)

You're very welcome for the tip. "The Morning After" isn't perfect, but I love Jane Fonda's performance as an alcoholic actress with a memory problem, and Jeff Bridges is worthwhile in everything.

Oh that's fine. I love the city of Los Angeles and will often decide on a film based on the location it is shot on. The story and performers come in second with me. Hopefully this movie might make Crackle or Hulu. Lol, I'll find it!
