Get the two films mixed up. Aren’t they the same story with different actors, like Valmont, Dangerous Liaisons, and Cruel Intentions?

Nope, its two very different stories. But Valmont, Dangerous Liaisons and Cruel Intentions are all more or less based on the same book though.

It seems like there were lots of “nothing” movies about 20-somethings in the 1990s. Here some that come to mind:
Singles
Clerks.
Beautiful Girls
Mallrats
Reality Bites
Chasing Amy

Clerks and Mallrats still seem to get some plays on TV. I have seen Beautiful Girls and Reality Bites on Netflix. It would be nice for the sub-genre to be revived for a modern audience and dealing with current 20s-something culture.
