How did Mickey Rooney's career hit such a low as to appear in this movie?

Mickey Rooney wrote a protest letter saying the people that made the first SNDN should be run out of town. And he plays the f cking villain in this! Hypoctritical jackass!

I want the dvd of parts 1 & 2 badly.

Already two different sellers on both ebay and half.com I bought the movie from for around $10 but both had the dvds out of stock, then had to refund me.

It seems to me that Mickey was more against the idea of Santa Claus murdering people than the idea of people being murdered at Christmas. Don't forget, Mickey's played Kris Kringle a dozen times.
