I see many spanish actors and crew members in this movie. How's that it's a French/USA coproduction? Or is that an error?

the movie was made with French and American money, shot by an English director and shot entirely in Spain with all European crew. The City scenes filmed in Barcelona and the resort scenes were filmed in St. Feliu de Guixois, Costa Brava. It was presold based on two bankable American actors being in the lead. The original script called for New York City and the Bahamas. rbf
