For your information:

I enjoyed this film very much and one that I disagreed with Mr. Roger Ebert. Yes, I did have to "Suspend my Disbelief" but then you must do this for most movies.

I did some research on the 4 quotes made by the star of the film and this is what I found: The first quote was from a film called THE MORTAL STORM with James Stewart and Margaret Sullivan and that was one of the last scenes from that film showing the hero Stewart carrying his love to safety, too late though after being shot by the Nazi's trying to escape.

There was a star called Brenda Marshal and she did star in a film called ESPIONAGE AGENT and the other quote with Ms. Marshall called THE FIGHTING 69TH was with James Cagney and not Brenda Marshall. The other film she mentioned with Brenda Marshall, VICTORY AT DAWN was no such film.

So, to summarize she made 4 film quotes and 2 were true and the others were made up.
Certainly didn't affect the drama of this very nice and entertaining film.
