Michael Douglas picks this as his own worst film

Just come back from "An Evening with Michael Douglas" where Michael took the stage in London to discuss his films. He picked this as his least favourite of his fimography, he even struggled to recall the title of the film! He said this was his only period movie and it didn't work.

Thanks for this interesting post.
I think that Michael Douglas' highly praised movie "Wall Street" is extremely boring and "Disclosure" was not a very good film, even though Demi Moore was in it.

"Shining Through" is definitely my favorite Michael Douglas film, no matter what Rotten Tomatoes or movie critics state about it. If Douglas disliked it while he was making it, he certainly didn't show it as he is in all of his movies kind of reserved.

My second favorite is his thriller with Anne Archer and Glen Close, the title doesn't come to my mind right now and I cannot open another window or my PC breaks down...I watched it several times. The scene in the bathtub with Glenn Close was definitely copied from "Les Diaboliques" with Simone Signoret and Vera Clouzot (directed by Henri-Georges Clouzot).

It is pretty boring.

I saw it when it came out and thought it was a decent movie. I thought TheJewel ofcthe Nile was pretty hokey, but his sequel to Wall Street is my least favorite MD film.
