Why

Would Reynolds from st Luke have been told that green was a jew if they had this rivalry. Wouldn't they keep that info private so the secret would never have come to light. Just seems off

One of the women said that Tom Keating was a little drunk. That could have caused him to carelessly reveal the "secret" to Cal Reynolds. (Applying the Chekhov's Gun principle, there's no other reason for Keating to have been described as being drunk.)

The question is when the secret was revealed to Cal Reynolds -- somehow I think it was right at that party when both gentlemen were drunk. Keating asked Reynolds to keep it a secret, and Reynolds promptly blubbed it shortly afterwards to Dillon and his brother.
