OMG I KNEW IT!!!

I knew right away when I started watching this movie that whoever composed that music during the beginning school scenes also composed the music for American Beauty (the songs sound so similar!). I was so certain that I even bet myself money! Well I was right! Thomas Newman did the music for both films. I owe myself some money!!
