This is on DVD in a Box Set including the original Scanners, Scanners II and Scanners III. It's a wonderful DVD full of features and best of all - Widescreen. It's from Universal, so you know the transfer is good.

It's an original DVD, and for those who are looking for the whole set, it's a good DVD set.
I coulda done with a set of the first two movies only. Takeover is a disgrace for the series and can only be described as a bad trash parody. Which is very suprising, because the second movie, which actually was a pretty good continuation of Cronenberg's classic, was made by the same director as this one.

Hi derekrulz66 I checked your link but it's out of order there. I am dutch and got two European Region 2 versions (#2 and #3) distributed by Warner Home Video (2006), BDO-AVF 1991 the sleeve info mentions (BDO-AVF 1992 for #3). EAN 7 321932 876208 (#2) and EAN 7 321932 876215 (#3).

You inform me: the DVD Box Set includes the original Scanners, Scanners II and Scanners III.
Are they the same titles "The New Order" and the "The Takeover" I already have? The other poster complained the movie or TV version of the same concept wasn't good, so I wonder which version I have. I checked the actors and so at the credits here listed on IMDb and I think I have the original one.
(edit) I found that movie connections button. I learned that David Cronenberg's classic movie Scanners was released in 1981 and Scanners II, The Takeover in 1991 and Scanners III, The New Order in 1992.
My DVD has a different front cover of #3 than shown here on IMDb though.
