Family Sarafina's mom worked for

I loved the contrast between the reality Sarafina lived in, in her rural village of Soweto, compared to the opulence the wealthy Dutch family lived in.

My question though is, what was the surname of the family Sarafina's mother was the maid for? Was it Vanderwoodsen? Or did I hear wrong? I'm just curious.

Not sure. Actually just watched the show and I recall the Sarafina character saying 'did the bourse leave' and not 'did the smiths leave'. From this I believe the director didnt want the viewer to know the family, just see them as the 'whites' or 'bourse' in the movie.
