If you folks get a chance, buy the Soundtrack to this movie. It is something else. To me, it flows gently as the cool and crystal clear rivers in portrayed in the movie.

Couldn't agree more - I've owned the soundtrack (first on cassette, now on cd) since the movie was released 13 years ago. The music is gorgeous, soothing, melancholy. The best. I'm a big Isham fan.

I'm in the middle of watching this for the first time, and I noticed that in the movie's main titles, it says that the music is by Elmer Bernstein. I'm confused. Did he compose a rejected score and they never bothered to remove his name?
shareThe music playing at the end of the movie and soundtrack, Haunted By Waters, is probably the most beautiful music I've ever heard. The whole soundtrack is great, and very relaxing, but Haunted By Waters is just heavenly.
