Really scary and creepy. Everything is higher than average except the issue of working/not working hand lamp and the whole scene which is quite unacceptable. They have been informed already about a few murders so a wise person(including a professional investigator) NEVER would go to investigate such a place with ONE hand lamp, NEVER!
This deserved a 8/10 but now 7/10.
one of the characters complains that they should have brought another flashlight. anyway...terrible acting throughout so really just a little bit more annoying.

I've read Lovecraft, I thought I'd read all of his oeuvre. I don't remember this story though.

That whole scene where they were investigating the dungeons under the house with the flashlight was too long and took me out of the movie. Otherwise, good movie.
