What's this 'Shatterbrain' nonsense?

When did they change the title from "The Resurrected"? And why did they change it? The new title makes no sense!

reply

I agree. It just took me a few minutes to find it because of this change. It use to be listed as The Resurrected here before.

Have to agree, the new title sucks. And makes no sense.

Not like "The Haunted Palace" eh? That title made perfect sense. It's not even from a Lovecraft story!

What does The Haunted Palace have to do with anything here? The discussion is about why they changed the name from The Resurrected to Shatterbrain. It's a stupid change and has nothing to do with an old Vincent Price movie. This discussion is not about past attempts to adapt the popular Lovecraft story about Charles Dexter Ward.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

reply

Just pointing out that it's not the first time this great story has suffered a silly title change. Don't take it as a personal slight.

Yeah, that is a dumb title. The Resurrected makes a lot more sense.

Shatterbrain is the original title; it was renamed prior to release. I agree though that changing it on imdb was kinda pointless.

You obviously don't comprehend the level of insane I operate at.

The title "Shatterbrain" is just confusing. And it took me quite a while to find this on imdb, as well.
