Deleted Scenes on German DVD/Blu set?

The 3-disc DVD/blu set of The Resurrected is out now, with 20 minutes of deleted scenes from the workprint - but being a German limited edition, it is of course very expensive and difficult to get here in the US.

Does anyone have the limited edition? And what would you say about the deleted scenes, and what they add to the movie? Are they evidence that The Resurrected really would have a different and better film if O'Bannon's director's cut had included those scenes?

And secondly, is there anywhere where those deleted scenes are posted online? I know they're not on YouTube yet. Honestly, I just really want to see those deleted scenes, but would rather not spend around $50 to import this set just to be able to watch them.

I just finished watching the German Region B blu ray/dvd set, which is approximately US$40 with shipping from Amazon.de. I am also familiar with Dan O'Bannon's workprint,"The Ancestor," having seen it several times at various Lovecraftian venues. The deleted scenes included with this set include most, but I think not all, of the material from the workprint that was excised from the final cut. However, it is not the deleted scenes in themselves that make the difference, but the editing and sequencing as well. This Blu Ray is a huge improvement over the Lions Gate pan-and-scan DVD, let alone the VHS tape, yet one cannot help but wish that O'Bannon's workcut could be restored and completed in a manner similar to Clive Barker's "Night Breed." As things currently stand, "The Resurrected" in this Blu Ray version is an excellent film, but the completion of "The Ancestor" would give us a great one.

Hi Scott,

I know this is a very belated reply... but do you recall what some of the biggest structural changes are? Is the film heavily re-edited beyond those scenes having been cut? Or in other words, if you reinserted those scenes into their proper places in the movie, would you essentially have a decent representation of his workprint version, or would other sequences need major re-editing too?

The only obvious part that really seems altered by the studio has always seemed to me to be the beginning, when Mrs. Ward's terribly clunky expository narration reeks of longer scenes glazed over.
