Mr. Pink was totally right about tipping

Nobody can convince me otherwise.

I don't tip unless it's a place I go to regularly. Reason being is you want good and friendly service. If you were a waiter/waitress would some regular patron who never tipped you be your first priority, or would you keep them waiting until they were blue in the face? Don't expect the server to be that nice to you either.

You don’t tip when you eat out? You p.o.s.

reply

I usually tip, because I usually eat at the same places I've been eating at for years. On the rare occasion I try a new place, and the food is mediocre (which happens more often then not) then sorry I won't tip.

reply

Nobody owes you tips. Work in the service industry? OK then do the damn job you're paid to do and quit whining.

reply

I tip depending on service.
10% is at the worst .. usually it ain't the server's fault but the kitchen.

Mr Pink is right, in effect mandatary tipping kind of validates the low wages, which is the real problem.

The solution is to bump their salary.

Notice how places ring you up first and if you pay with a credit card, there's a spot for the tip, even if you haven't received any kind of service yet. Completely defeats the purpose of a tip.
