No soundtrack release but credits indicate otherwise...

On Red Rock West posters and VHS/laserdisc/DVD cases as well as in the end credits of the film itself, it is indicated that an official soundtrack was released on "Mercury Nashville Records, Cassettes and Compact Discs." However, upon checking the internet, it appears there never was such a release. Does anyone know anything about this?
