Ok the debate is did he die... Well did Mike even make up Bobby to teach his boys a lesson. Sounds like it was a tale. Just a thought.

If you prefer this movie in logical perspective, yes... he did die.
If you prefer seeing it from fantasy perspective... no, he did not died and he did flying away accross the world with his radio flyer.
