Busses for Musicians

I was just curious if anyone had ever seen a fleet of busses like they show in this movie? Naturally, for the safety of the crew and star, I wouldn't expect them to plaster the name of the star on the side of the bus in the movie, but I would assume seeing 2 busses and 2 big rigs in a train like that would seem a little obvious.

Also, most stars that big would perform more in big cities and not so many small town fairs, but the bus fleets in the movie are only shown on back roads. Do busses for real musicians stick to side roads to avoid the traffic and safety issues? I could understand them doing it to have more less-crowded places to stop for the musicians to stretch their feet (i.e. restaurants...there's still going to be some people there, but a place with 5 people eating is a lot easier to handle than a crowded pit stop on a highway).

I saw Fergie's (of the Black Eyed Peas) tour bus pulling into a mall parking lot (she was scheduled to do a public appearance for the sponsor of her tour). Not only did it have her name on it, her face was actually on the side of the bus (it was the cover of her solo album). I realize she is no George Strait (or "Dusty"), so maybe only the up-and coming acts do that.

Not sure about now days, but I remember seeing tour buses of some pretty big country singers in the late 70's and early 80's.

The future will soon be a thing of the past.
