Why is this tremendous film NOT on DVD???

I saw this film when it was first out. Anyone who liked LA Confidential, The Long Goodbye and Chinatown would like this film. I was looking up this film because I was thinking to pick up the DVD and was unpleasantly surprised to find no DVD Details for this film on IMDB.com
Normally there is a listing on Amazon for available DVDs linked to the film's page and nothing on here.
This is a shame. An excellent movie. It is not Goodfellas or any of the films I mentioned above. It is a unique film about a unique character (Joe Pesci) and his thoroughly intriquing world.
Hopefully enough people can make a stink
that this film can be givin its proper audience.

I wholeheartedly agree. This film's DVD release is long overdue. One of my favourite films, and my favourite role of Joe Pesci's to date.

Good Lord This Movie would look great on DVD. Beautifully Photographed... The End shootout--literally---would love to see this in widescreen with a cleaned up print. More then any other movie I can think of not on DVD currently--(mostly comedies--none with a huge need to look the best--where's Pure Luck Universal??? or If Looks Could Kill-- 20th Fox) this one would look great...really really great looking.

Ditto Joe Pesci's finest performance--incredibly understated, and for him with his eagerness to go over the top in most things, beautifully played, just a beautiful film overall really. (this writer/director did Quick Change!!!)

definetly i want a copy of this movie please on dvd

Every studio should have a section on their websites to vote on movie you want on dvd. Even preorder them so people have to put their money where their mouth is and buy it. Then they won't worry about it being like Snakes on a Plane and no one watching.

It's odd that this film isn't on DVD. Robert Zemeckis was a producer. If he didn't carry the weight to get this done then, he certainly does now.

I hope that it is on DVD with a lot of special features. Our local movie reviewer was vilified for saying that this was the best movie he had ever seen. Yet, I have to agree! I just watched the VHS - for the umpteenth time - that I bought at the supermarket years ago.
