Believe me, I have seen a ton of horror movies. This one was pretty good!!! A very underrated gem!!!

Yes, I agree with you. I was pleasantly surprised by how great this movie was. I expected it to be a standard low budget, cheesy horror movie but it was actually very good. I would definitely recommend it and it is underrated.

That said, it wasn't without redeeming qualities (interestign concept with the religious killer, a likeable character with Jeff, some funny lines from him, 1-2 good kills)

Idk. People seem to really like Hello Mary Lou Prom Night 2 as a stand alone film, and the first Prom Night would have at least a following even if Curtis wasn't in it (most early 80's slashers do). Prom Night 4 doesn't get mentioned nearly as much as the other three, and I can't even imagine how unmemorable it would be if it wasn't a Prom Night film.
shareHonestly? The movie wasn't that good. It had it's fun moments and the two guys were kinda likable but it didn't really have anything going for it.
