Who's actually seen it?

I bet 80% of those 79 people who rated this film haven't seen it.

I was just thinking that. Except now it's up to 86 or something. I'm willing to wager most of the votes are from Night haters...anyone else?

Wait a few more moments and it will be 90.

Oh, it's definitely Night haters. Given the film's unattainability, I'd be surprised if any of those reviewers had seen it.

I saw it back in 94 on HBO. I never realized the goofy kid from that movie would be on the of biggest directors of our time.

Well was it any good?

I remember seeing this film once on cable like someone mentioned before. It was many years ago but I do remember liking it. Hopefully one day HBO will run it again so I can see it again.

I will answer this question. I'm pretty sure i've seen it 10 times. When I was a kid the movie channel encore came out. That movie channel did a rare thing. They were a free channel for nearly a year or so and in that time they played this movie constantly. Now I am an Indian cat and back in the day to see Indian people on tv was like finding a four leaf clover... I can remember my parents rushing to the television watching the f ucking spelling bee because somebody who looked like them (albeit be 13 years old) was on tv. So when this movie was on I watched. I barely remember it, but from what I remember the plot went something like this... M night gets in a fight in america, his parents send him to india, everyone asks him if he knows Michael jackson, there is some muslim guy who torments him, he saves that guys life when some hindus try to kill him for being muslim, his cousin wants to marry someone who is north indian but her parents won't agree to it (jesus tell me it still isn't like that there), he falls in love and some other s_hit happens....

The movie was interesting, because you had this kid viewed as a troublemaker who didn't deserve the title. M night really tried something here that would have been better if he dug deeper. He doesn't like pushing those boundaries and i wish he did. The whole horror thing is just something he can get away with, but i feel there is more there if he was only willing to be more than a one trick pony.

My belief is the sixth sense was such a hit he realized he had a career ahead of him, but he kinda missed the boat on the career he could have had. He is a big s hit director now, and he seems fine relegating himself to the junk he's been putting out since unbreakable.

Very useful comments. Thank you.

I saw this years ago in the early 90's on HBO... I remembered specifically how the Indian American kid looked then saw him again when Sixth Sense came out and say Hey that's that guy from that Indian movie where he traveled to India and everyone gave him a hard time.

It was a good movie, it kept my interest, I don't remember everything but what I do remember was...

One girl asked if he knew Michael Jackson, since he was from America.

He tapped a pretty girl on the shoulder to say hello and it was a big No No..

The old guys were called his Seniors beat the crap out of him and his cousin.

They got stranded with no money and had to clean fish to earn money to get back home.

By the end of the movie he found new pride in being Indian.

Does that about sums it up?
