Oh man I loved this movie. And the soundtrack was amazing. I went to see it (at age 20, 20 years ago) at a movie theater that showed two movies for the price of one. It was the second movie. The blockbuster movie was first. Can't remember the name. We watched the first movie. My friend then wanted to stay for the second movie called The Power of One. I wanted to leave. I didn't want to see a movie about boxing. Even though I was a guy. But I ended up staying. It only took me about 10 to 15 minutes to get into the movie. I thought the story was beautiful, as well as the message. Boxing was not the main theme. Music was prominent, and sounding great. Definitely a good one to own, in my opinion.
By the way, every female I have watched this movie with has loved this movie. Guaranteed.

I would say that if you bought the movie and watched it without the book in mind, you'd probably think it was really good! i saw it in a high school class, and went and bought it and it's been my favorite ever since! but then again, I have not read the book - but I do plan on reading it soon!
