Is Jaapie Botha the worst villain in the cinema history?

It's difficult to me to found any man or women as bad, cruel and ruthless as Bootha. I really enjoyed a lot when he was killed

Adolf Hitler was not a villain in cinema, he was real.

Japie Botha (that's the correct spelling, like "P.W. Botha") is so completely one-dimensional, that it was very hard for me to take him seriously, he was too cartoony, almost laughable in his evilness, not to mention that Mr New James Bond (Daniel Craig?) who is playing him, has such an APPALLING South African accent!

That just enhanced the caricature-effect for me.

BUT I was very happy indeed when he got killed in the end, but for of his bad accent and his one-dimensionality!

I just wished old "PoesKlap" (PK) could have been arrested and detained by the security police too though, he irritated me too much with his Johnny Clegg rip-off-songs and his self-righteousness.

He's even worse in the book.

Great response Marcelle 8. I agree. With both your posts.

Clarence Bodicker in Robocop was a real bastard, probably even more sadistic than Botha.

Charles Dickens' books are full of such characters, led by Bill Sikes from Oliver Twist (Oliver Reed played him great in one of the versions).

Elkanah Bent from "North and South" is also competing for this title. Robert de Niro's Max Cady from Cape Fear also. And remember all those James Cagney and Edward G. Robinsons movies...

Never heard any of the names.

Sorry, I've never seen any Harry Potter movie and hope I never will.

Oh, mistake. I've read the names again. Bellatrix is one of the seven brightest stars in Orion. But as it is considered to be one of the most beautiful constellations, I wouldn't think about Bellatrix as a villain.

my dad always says that exact thing i need to see if its true and how ruthless is he?

reply

Kreacher? I don't think he was considered a villian...and the worst and most sadistic? He was an elf...how sadistic can he be?

reply

Wait, wait, forgive me if i'm wrong (i can't remember the names of most characters, only saw this once), but is this the kid with the Nazi tatoo who kills the chicken then later grows? He may have been one demensional, but he was supposed to be. He wasn't worst bad guy...pretty good one. That's the sort who are dnagerous in these histories and stories. With that school preacher screaming at the beginning about races in South Africa...that's a big part of how you get a hitler.

I think Dolores Umbridge beats him in the most despicable villain department, but only barely.
