I know that long pan shots are a favourite of Mr Branagh but is anyone aware of another movie which uses pan shots longer than some of the ones in this (and I don't mean CGI or computer aided!).
I counted a single take in excess of 4 minutes for the 'round the table shot' at dinner on the first night the friends were together.
I just goes to show you the huge amount of talent involved in the performances and direction here.

I noticed that yesterday when I watched this great film aswell, I thought it was unusual to film a British comedy this way but it worked very well. I cannot think of another film with similar panning shots but I did think that this film was similar to Woody Allen's work. The first film that springs to mind is 'Hannah and Her Sisters' in terms of camera movement so you could check that out.
