A better ending

I think a better ending would have been if they all died somehow.
Maybe the mom can take away the gun from the father and shoot him, then take his body and throw it into the bed on fire and he burns.
Then she takes Jeff and holds him and walks into the fire and they burn together.

Perhaps the bully, Clyde, comes and takes their half burned bodies to the cemetery and barries them. The film ends there.
