Clancy Brown was the only actor who held the film together

I watched this again last night and came to a realization that only clancy brown's acting and character is the only thing that makes this movie semi-worthwhile, because by all means this movie sucks a fat one. Especially compared to the first one and novel. The actor playing jeff's father was a bore and by no means carried the film, and all the other actors really were a bore as well. Clancy Brown's persona and presence is the only thing that carried the film. Because once again, boy does this movie suck a fat one. Does anyone else agree?

I thought all the actors did a fine job. Clancy Brown did indeed stand out though.

He was definitely the best part about the movie though I find it enjoyable for several other reasons.

The comical aspect of it was great for me, although the film is not intended to be a comedy i still felt there was a lot of black humor in it! And some pretty memorable scenes 6/10

For me he pretty much kept it watchable and saved the movie from being a complete miss.

Loved it as a child but I see your point.

It's pretty good, but feels weirdly paced. I used to prefer this over the original. Later on, I realized the first movie was better.

Clancy Brown is always awesome.

It helped Clancy that he had such a interesting character to work with.

Anthony Edwards's doctor character sucked because he was so blandly written and a let down from Midkiff. Edwards is a good actor but he deserved better. Furlong and the other kids were fine but not having a strong male hero lead hurt the movie.

I do enjoy this though, it's a perfect watch near Halloween.

I do believe Clancy Brown was the best part of the movie, well when he dies I mean when he was alive he was unlikeable. Jared Rushton also did a splendid job with his crazy obsession with Jeff's mother and mean-spirited personality.

I am a life-long Stephen King fan and I loved Pet Sematary as a book. I liked the original movie, although it seemed as if it could have been much better. But, I imagine it's a challenge to turn such a horror masterpiece into an equally good film, so I criticize it with some understanding.

Pet Sematary II for me ended up being more of a laugh-fest, however, I am grateful for having seen it as it introduced me to Clancy Brown's work. No matter how evil he was, I couldn't bring myself to dislike him. He has that certain charisma that wins over an audience no matter how odious his character (or the rest of the film) may be. I find myself watching some of his older movies which I had seen before with a new appreciation simply because he is in them and he's such an enjoyable actor.

He's a lot of fun.
