North American DVD release?

Does anybody know if there will be a North American DVD release of Highway Patrolman? I remember seeing it on the Sundance Channel years ago and was very impressed.

I've rented the British DVD from a library here in Germany. But I don't know if it's compatible with US-American DVD players.

I photographed the DVD:

About Alex Cox

Alex Cox (born Merseyside, 1954) is a British film director, screenwriter, nonfiction author and sometime actor, notable for his idiosyncratic style and approach to scripts. Cox has previously cited Luis Buñuel and Akira Kurosawa as influences, as well as the great Western movie directors Sergio Leone, Sam Peckinpah, and John Ford. Cox wrote a book on the history of the Italian Western: 10,000 Ways to Die. While he once directed films for Universal Pictures, such as Repo Man and Walker, he has not found work with any of the studios since his foray into Nicaraguan cinema in 1988 Instead he has directed, produced, and acted in independent features in various places, including Mexico, Colombia, Japan, The Netherlands, Spain, and his native Liverpool. Cox was originally set to direct Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas but was replaced by Terry Gilliam due to creative differences with Hunter S. Thompson. His most recent film, Repo Chick, premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2009. Repo Chick and Searchers 2.0 are microfeatures: shot under the Screen Actors Guild ultra-low budget agreement, for less than $200,000 apiece. Since then, Cox has done children's book illustrations for a fairy story entitled THREE DEAD PRINCES, by Danbert Nobacon, to be published by Exterminating Angel Press in October of 2010.
