Damn good movie
Just saw the movie finally, I must say it was quite enjoyable. One of the only action movies that is not pure shoot em up and thats it, this was very well directed and acted.
I give it 2 thumbs up.

Indeed. For as far as I've seen it (it's just on TV) I'd give it 7 out of 10 stars. It is quite enjoyable, and the acting believable. It's not one of th ebest movies I've ever seen, but this movie I'd consider a 'normal movie'. Good enough acting, plot, and directing. A movie shoudl not be worse than this, or it's bad.

Are you guys kidding me? This movie was below average, it definately didn't have good acting and the plot was flawed and predictable.
It was entertaining though but far from great as you guys make it seem.
The acting wasnt that bad. Overall I'd say the movie gets between 6.5 and 7 out of 10. It was quite entertaining.
Truthfully,
Charles Rayne -- and the actor portraying him -- Bruce Payne, made this film. If they'd have gotten someone else, it would have been unwatchable. Just try and watch everything concerning John Cutter, with the other characters. Its so thin, you put your index-finger through it.

Though I think Con Air ruined all the other films of this genre for me; none can be better than that one.
How can anyone say that this is a good movie? It's just another Wesley Snipes sub-par action movie where you learn about how black Wesley Snipes really is ("always count on black!"). Of course, the villain was okay, snipes was okay, everything was okay, but how can anyone say that this movie is more than 5 stars on a 10 star scale?! It is not a memorable movie at all, except for the fact that it comes on TV every two weeks.

Yeah its on TV every couple weeks, in fact as of lately its been shown on premium cable a lot, maybe its worthy of such airings, or maybe it has done well with time.
Yes, Bruce Payne was fabulous! With his hair, his stature, his menacing stares, he was frightening and sexy.
However, being an ex Flight Attendant I was appalled at the egregious errors in this film. Didn't they have an "advisor"? You can't go shooting guns inside an airliner at 30,000 ft. The pressurization will suck everyone out.
The bulk takes place in first class, which makes me wonder how the F.B.I. gets to take a prisoner and sit up front. The bluerooms were in the rear . . with Snipes/Cutter trying to call for help. That's a jumbo jet . . a long, long way from First Class to the rear of the plane.
And lastly, now that I'm pickin' this apart . . how in blazes did all those thugs (and Elizabeth Hurley as a Stew) get on board without being checked? What advantage did they have by abetting Rayne? If there hadn't been so many darned commercials I'd have watched it to the end. But why?
If you analyze an action movie you will end up with lots of unanswered questions, but your first comment is wrong. A bullet hole is not large enough to suck anyone out, and the pressure is not great enough to create a larger hole. Being an ex-flight attendant only helps your argument if you actually experienced shootings in air, which I assume you didn't.

Why doesn't he kill these people when he has them at the disadvantage? If the bad guys are really bad and will kill with no provocation then they have to be eliminated.
It took me a decade and a half to finally see this film. I could have waited another. The best part was watching that zit change.
