Some of the worst writing ever

this movie was just poorly written. Like why didn't the bad guy turn on the Ferris wheel instead of climb up it?

And when Charles stole a gun from a civilian in a petting zoo. why the heck did a random guy just have a gun on him?

Also, how did no one see the terrorists walking off the plane in the opposite direction of the escaping passengers from the freaking watch tower? let alone anywhere?

Why didn't the one terrorist just shoot Cutter instead of kicking him off the plane? They seemed to not care about killing innocent civilians so what not kill the one guy who could actually stop you?

Another is when Cutter put grenades in his pockets towards the end. Ummmm why? what could he possibly do with them on a plane full of civilians?

How did Vincent become a sniper? Are we to believe he disarmed a trained sniper (note he had his two best snipers sent to do the job) even when he couldn't even defeat Cutter?

Finally, why didn't the terrorists just stay in the cockpit while the plan was in the air? That would seem to be the smart thing to do. oh i forgot, if that happened then Cutter would not have been able to come up into the cockpit and tell them to turn around. Give me a break.

One more thing, the first guy Cutter beat up (the one who found him in the lavatory) what happened to him? He was never killed, did he just disappear?

It's like they didn't even review what they wrote. They just kept on going even if it didn't make any sense.

Yeah that COULD possibly be because this is a movie and not reality-tv....

alright, i forgot about when the one guy was killed, but when the henchman was sneaking up on Cutter, why did he just not shoot him then and there instead of trying to be all sneaky? I know why but I always think that the reason is lame

This is not a film built on realism.

Maturity. The very staple of the IMDb message boards.

Opening scene
Cosmetic surgeon: "But I have to give you something for the pain"
Charles Rane: "There will be no pain"

Pretty much tells you how this movie will go. Followed by a bunch of fist-punching scenes. Visual Xanax. ZZZ...

What happened here was Charles was running with his own gun in hand and then that one guy ran up to him and tried to take it away but he got beat up.

I think that you are just looking for plot holes where there are none, things may have been cut out to make the movie 90mins, so it isn't perfect but not poorly written.

Like why didn't the bad guy turn on the Ferris wheel instead of climb up it?

He went to turn it on, but then Rane told him to 'get up there.' Who knows why Rane did this, maybe Rane wanted him to draw him out so he could shoot him, maybe Rane thought he'd just keep jumping seats and not conveniently come to the bottom to be shot.

And when Charles stole a gun from a civilian in a petting zoo. why the heck did a random guy just have a gun on him?

Must have missed that bit, I thought that they all had guns already, the bald guy pulled his out in the parking lot and Rane put his in the waist band of his trousers before entering the lift in the plane. You sure he wasn't just moving him out of his way?

Also, how did no one see the terrorists walking off the plane in the opposite direction of the escaping passengers from the freaking watch tower? let alone anywhere?

Presumably because they were all watching the fleeing passengers trying to make sure that no terrorists came out too. Besides Cutter noticed.

Why didn't the one terrorist just shoot Cutter instead of kicking him off the plane? They seemed to not care about killing innocent civilians so what not kill the one guy who could actually stop you?

Presumably because he didn't want to put holes in the fuselage, he tried to kick him out and then shoot him, but as someone else mentioned, the stewardess stopped him.

Another is when Cutter put grenades in his pockets towards the end. Ummmm why? what could he possibly do with them on a plane full of civilians?

Good point, but maybe this part was cut, or maybe it was just insurance. He couldn't have known that everything would have gone that smoothly, Rane may have gotten off the plane again when they landed (his intention was to turn the plane around again).

How did Vincent become a sniper? Are we to believe he disarmed a trained sniper (note he had his two best snipers sent to do the job) even when he couldn't even defeat Cutter?

That would have been pretty easy, they were both lying down and not at all expecting someone behind them, had they heard him, they would most likely have assumed it was another cop, and not turned round to make sure at such a crucial point (they were still in position when the FBI agents were approaching with Ranes). He wasn't a very good sniper, he missed Dwight the FBI guy (hit him in the arm). It wasn't made clear how he killed them, but he did still have his gun and was seen with a knife earlier.

Finally, why didn't the terrorists just stay in the cockpit while the plan was in the air?

Because that would have left 100 passengers unattended. They could have disarmed Liz Hurley and stormed the cockpit or opened an emergency door..etc. There's a reason you guard hostages. The pilots didn't need guarding.

One more thing, the first guy Cutter beat up (the one who found him in the lavatory) what happened to him? He was never killed, did he just disappear?

With a perm like that he deserved to be shot, he never should have left the 80s.

lol on the last one, but yeah in the petting zoo you see the guy take a gun from someone. Pretty good points on all of my other comments, but if the guys left the cockpit door then couldn't the pilots have just locked it? I mean i am sure hostages would have been killed until they opened the door but it is just a thought.

The first henchman was shot by Rane when Rane (or Sabrina) tried to shoot Cutter.

This was a 90's movie, we loved this kind of crap back in those days lol...cheesy and unrealistic. But Wesley Snipes was the man in this movie!

Yet some how the two deputies who Snipes beat up knew where Snipes was headed. And Snipes some how knew where the terrorists were headed.
