The singer of "Mairi's Wedding" is credited as being Jim Corr. I think there's been a mix up of sorts. This is not the Jim Corr of the band the Corrs. However, this Jim Corr, playing the banjo is very good, if that's him and he's quite a nice singer. I wonder if there's any way to find out any more about him. If he's not really Irish (off the auld sod), his accent is excellent. I thought the movie was rather funny. My father is from Belfast, mum from Scotland and my father is a union leader. I've visions of my family to an extent with this movie. I did get a few good laughs out of it. Only thing missing was a fist fight! lol

hello, I am the singer Daniel. My name is Jim Corr and I am not one of the Corrs. I am from Co Tyrone and moved back here five years ago. I also wrote the extra verses. I have more of my own music on myspace.com/gortin. Thanks for all the nice comments! I have also done a documentary on David Hammond for TG4(RTE) and a docudrama for Tile films called Death or Canada.

Do you have a copy of the song you played with the extra lyrics? If so how can i buy a copy?

No I don't have a copy/ I had to sign all over to Disney and that is where it is at. I do have a CD on iTunes. Travelling Man it is called.
