I always missed the beginning, when this came out on cable. I read that the beginning has a woman running and she's wearing a red dress.
Could anyone tell me what is going on?

The movie opens with her running for help, then cuts to George and Lennie running away from a group of men with guns and dogs searching for them.
shareJust saw the movie again. George explained what happened to Slim. Lenny likes petting soft things, mice, puppies, hair and the women had a soft red dress. Unfortunately he got too excited and accidentally ripped her dress (not intending to hurt her). The woman got scared and started screaming and running away from him.
