Anything else like it?

The only other thing that I've seen that could be compared to "Noises Off" is an episode of Cheers called "An Old-Fashioned Wedding". It's the episode which takes places at Kelly's fathers mansion when Woody and Kelly are going to get married (end of season 10).

Everything in that production was spot on with "Noises Off", ie. the introduction of characters, proper entrance/exits at the right time, back story laid out which adds humor to future scenes, etc.

Does anyone else know of anything else like NO or that Cheers episode?

Being Julia is like it when it comes to the theater. But Being Julia is great anyway. You should see it. I won't ruin it but at the end she changes her performance too and it's fabulous!

I dont know why, every time NO pops in my head, I also always think about Deathtrap (1982). They dont have many similarities except for Michael Caine and being movies that involve some plays.

Ours not to reason why, ours but to do and die.

actually the movie Oscar has much of the same type of comedy. it is a very underated movie, I think mostly due to backlash of Sylvester Stallone doing comedy.

Oscar!!! Yes! That movie is FUNNY

Yes, I've seen Oscar and remember it to be quite funny, especially after all the set up. (Sorry for the lateness of my reply, glad to see this thread is still kicking though!)

there is a play on in London at the moment called The Play That Goes Wrong, which is apparently a bit similar to Noises off, except that it concenctrates more on physical comedy - props in the wrong place, things collapsing, etc, not so much on the characters. So i gather anyway, i haven't seen it yet, though i have seen the follow up play Peter Pan Goes Wrong which was done as a Christmas show the year before last. it was quite funny, but not in the same class as Noises Off.
