Airing right now on Encore

LOL...I'm watching the movie right now on the Encore Action channel. I haven't seen it since '91...seems my memory of the movie was actually a bit better than the actual movie itself! Still, as awful as it is, I still can't help enjoying any 80s-style post-apocalyptic movie full of bad guys with face paint dressed in rags, a lot of shots done in barren warehouses, empty snow or desert shots, and a "carrier" kind of all-terrain vehicle. Throw in some B-actors, a non-actor with hair extensions, some shredded, worn out leather jackets and pants, and tie some strips of materieal around your legs and you've got everything it takes to make a barely believable "futuristic" movie! Oh yeah, don't forget a dirtbike or two. And of COURSE there has to be "computer stuff" so it looks all techy; don't forget the egg-carton foam on the walls. It's got a slug's pace, interspersed with short quick action scenes. I wonder what the overall cost to produce Neon City was? Man they just don't make 'em like this anymore. Amen to Ironside, he's the only redeeming factor in this disaster of a disaster movie. ~__^
