why no threads for this 90's classic?

Seriously, I cannot understand why people rag on this movie?
Imagine Frank Booth as a burnt-out cop (with a hooker fixation) tearing up the town, in search of the crooks that killed his partner (and directed by John Flynn, no less)
What's not to like?

This movie desperately needs a blu-ray release (like yesterday)
