the player who calls Selleck 'Chief' at the end

Anyone know who played this character? The cast page for the movie on here doesn't have the player listed, named Jenkins, but he looked vaguely familiar.

And if they had Frank Thomas playing the guy who took Selleck's place, they might have gotten another player to play that role.

I think that was Travis Fryman. He was an infielder for the Tigers in the early 90's and the Indians after that. Was a decent player on some mediocre teams.
