Star Wars on acid?

Did anyone get the feeling that the producers of this movie came up with most of the ideas while tripping on mushrooms and watching Star Wars?

Don't get me wrong--I actually thought this movie was very funny and rather underrated (and puts Spaceballs to shame in terms of humor). I just think some of the ideas had to result from some sort of altered state.

Oh, and I don't think Wallace Shawn had much hesitation taking the role after reading the script. "I get to make out with Kathy Ireland? Inconceivable!"

I know it's not a popular opinion but this movie is like fifty three times better than star wars or spaceballs.

They could have been in an altered state while making this. I mean, look at the mushroom dudes.

i think it's written by the bill and ted guys. probably just a throwaway bill and ted 3 script.
