'The New Style' by Jimmy Jam + Terry Louis

"The New Style" is by far the phatest track I've ever heard in any movie. I'm of course extremely biased because I fell in love with dance music from 1992 shortly after. The New Style itself is such a wonderful track, complete with the famous "Higher/Halliluja" sample, breakbeats, other vocal atmospheres, and subtle laid back keyboards throughout. Jimmy Jam and Terry Louis later revisited the vibe of this track with Janet Jackson's "Throb" which I have still got to repurchase on CD.

I've been looking for both "The New Style" and "Throb" on 12" whenever I find myself at a record fair but I've yet to score either.

If your a fan of "The New Style" as well then I'd like to invite you to a digital Acid Pro megamix I made two summers ago. It features said track mixed with its contemporaries:

As a whole, the soundtrack from this movie in general is the most eclectic, energetic, and "feel good" movie soundtrack I've ever heard. I loved this soundtrack so much I wore out the first tape I had while on vacation in Wildwood, NJ, then received another tape of it and wore that out. I now have it on CD.

Yeah, the soundtrack is great! Jam & Lewis are two of the best music producers, they're awesome! :)
