This Film....

I watched it as a preteen back in the mid 90's and man was this a sadistic piece. The idea of psychopath child running about slashing and dicing people is one of the more morbid things I can't forget about when thinking of all the films that I have watched through the years. I remember I liked it, but the drowning scene is so, so sad to watch. I found it on YT and it is more of the Bad Movie category....like it ever wasn't in that category.....

What is creepy about this movie is that there are children out there similar to him. The difference is most of the time in reality the children don't get as far and do as much damage as Mikey. Usually an adult is able to get physical control of him and the child is put into some sort of treatment. But was is creepy about this movie is it is somewhat realistic. They made mikey come from an abusive home originally judging by a line he says and the fact he won't remove his shirt in a scene. They did not make him supposedly born evil like the girl from the bad seed or evil itself like damian from the omen. And I agree the scene with the little girl was sad which meant it was done very good and realistic to cause that feeling. The scene where he then bashes the guy with a bad was also realistic and almost hard to see. However it got cheesy at the end when he was able to put all the bodies at the dinner table. Too many people killed close together and no way could a kid his size put them at the table. It was creepy though how he put the turkey out like the table had been set for a thanksgiving day horror. I think they missed out by not making a sequal with mikey 20 years older and a sadistic yet charming serial killer. There is a movie similar to this called the boy and I have read they plan to do two sequels of him as a teen and adult. A portrait of a serial killer. Interesting that the boys name was Ted like Ted Bundy.

The scary clown doll is hiding under my bed.
