I totally love this movie, even though it has a lot of flaws I always was intrigued by the story and by sam neill's wonderful performance as Jenkins.
Nevertheless, the novel is just SO much better. It's what I'd have wished the film to be like if I could remove its flaws. I really really wish they'd re-do the movie and stick more to the novel... anyone agree?

Yeah, you're both right. The film was great but it did have some flaws.
I read the book in high school and I thought it was very specific to what was happening to Nick.
I loved this movie, I fear that if they make a remake it will bomb like a 100 megaton nuke.. Fall flat on its back and become a deep-crisp turkey.
So no thanks, I prefer this one.
