Well I saw this film many years ago.
So I don't remeber clearly.
I don't know much about Latin America's Law & Order system.
I did heard about one drug lord who made is own very luxuary prison.
Is it that easy there to get away from prison?

Well escape scene of Spielberg's 1974 film Sugarland Express (starring Goldie Hawn) was a hell of a thing too.
Which I heard somewhere it's based on true event.

He basically bribes the guard who is indifferent as long as she has her money

He didn't really escape from prison. He ran his small business from inside the prison. As you saw when Moco's men came to get him, he already had guys armed inside the other jail cells.
