not taking the budget into account...

What do you think of it?

That's all what people discuss every time this film is brought up. But for me, even if you look past that, you still have yourself a pretty solid, low-rent action thriller.

The plot is full of holes and the script devolves into filler every now and then, but for the most part, the movie moves like a bullet and never stops. There's just enough tension and suspense to sustain its short runtime, and the performances are just about convincing enough to keep the film afloat. The cinematography is a little awkward, but it has its charm and gives the movie a little personality.

Overall, I really like it.

As a debut film from a director, I think it's fine. It has a slick style to it and the story is simple, but engaging with some tense moments. With that said, I don't think the characters are that well written and even for a short movie it does drag a bit in the 2nd half. Overall though, it's a decent low budget thriller with some great dark comic moments. Despardo is a much better film though.
