I rented this movie with high expectations, and was very disappointed. I had to force myself to finish it. The acting was bad, but my perception of this may have been due in large part to bad dubbing.
For anyone who liked this movie, might I also suggest "Ishtar," "Fat Burger," and any lifetime original film.
I didn't like it much either, there was a good intention, some original ideas, but the script wasn't good enough and it didn't make, in my opinion, a likeable or succesful love story while it could have been. However, I liked Jason Scott Lee very much, I hated him in The Jungle Book, I liked him in Dragon and here I liked him again. I wonder what he's up to recently ? Hmm, lots of video it seems according to his Imdb file, too bad... but a new film coming, good !
P.S.: Another thing I liked about the movie is its title, very nice one.

you have no taste, like everyone this side of the ocean well knows. you want a predictable, safe, typical love STORY. you never care for the visuals and you cannot appreciate non-typical acting.
this is a wonderful movie. maybe you saw the edited version, little children? most of it is not for your eyes at all.
I liked this movie. I saw it in a movie theater. I wonder how much difference that makes?
