I can't decide...

Was Nestor's death an accident or a suicide?

On the one hand, he was severely depressed about Maria, his career and, the fact that his brother and wife were in love but, holding back out of respect.

On the other hand, when the car swerved, we saw him step on the breaks and sheild his face as if he was trying to avoid death.

So which was it? Accident or suicide?

Maybe the people who read the book can share?

I'm pretty sure the breaks were cut...

Either that or it was an accident, since that was hardly the time he would commit suicide.

Anyway, think about the scene in the nightclub, when just as he was leaving the room after breaking off the deal, the guy threatened that it would be the last gig they ever played.

It was an accident. He wasn't suicidal; nor if he were would he take his brother and the girl into death with him. That just doesn't make sense.

It was just a snowy, slippery road and he lost control of the car. Cubans aren't used to driving in the snow, and this was his first car in the U.S. and his first snowy winter. Simple as that. It wasn't foul play, either.

. . . . . . . .
