It was not recreated, but part of the Kennedys arrival to Love Field is in the begining of the movie. The main character goes to Love Field to see the President and Jackie.

Coming into the discussion something like 10 years later, I was rather surprised that they used actors to play JFK and Jackie, rather than taking advantage of what must be several miles of archival newsreel footage.
