Appalled this isn't a goof...

Elsewhere on this board someone mentioned they didn't understand, what with all the stock footage available, why actors were used to represent Jack & Jackie. I guess the only answer would be that there was that interaction with the older neighbor in the wheelchair while Lurene retrieves the purse for her, and the ability to morph historical film with live actors (a la "Forrest Gump") hadn't been invented or perfected yet.

HOWEVER, the costume designer COULD have at least ATTEMPTED to get the costuming right for Jackie on that fateful day. As most of us know, she wore a pale pink Chanel wool suit with black piping and a pale pink pillbox hat. So imagine MY surprise to see in this movie, Jackie wearing a POPPY pink (nay, dare I say RED) suit with NAVY edging and HUGE navy lapels. Not even remotely close. "Animal House" did a better job of costuming the sorority girls on the float, in the matching pink Chanel outfits.

Caught this last night on Movieplex channel. Did doze off a little in the middle...I take it Paul Cater did a year in prison for something? Also missed Lurene's husband beating up Paul. But definitely noticed the poor, poor costuming decision for the actress playing Jackie Kennedy.
