Excellent

I missed this movie when it first came out. I really appreciated its matter-of-fact narrative and cut-to-the chase pacing. The brutality of the disease never seemed glamorized (like it would be in a movie today). The handling of the medical and nutritional aspects was never dumbed down, yet was explained in a way that could be easily followed. I'm not sure I would've appreciated it as much back in '93. Great film.
