Yes, my darling, yes, my love, etc.

I couldn't stand Susan Sarandon saying "Yes, my darling" and similar statements to her son. It drove me nuts. It reminded me of a wife who can't stand her husband and sarcastically says, "Yes, my darling". I was waiting for her to say "Yes, light of my life." Sheesh.

If your nose runs and your feet smell, you were built upside down.

But were you OK with Nick Nolte? Geez, I thought Sarandon was typically perfect in this. She was supposed to be intellectual, a little pretentious, a little condescending to all involved, including her son. Plus he was such a little boy. Those comments didn't bother me.

Even though I know that he irked a lot of people, he didn't really bother me.

She and Nolte completely ruined what should have been an engaging film.

Maybe nick nolte...Sarandon however carried this film

I didn't mind her saying those comments. It was just part of the character.
